Women are among the thousands of blocked migrant domestic workers who were sent out of their employer s' home in the midst of the economic crisis in Lebanon and who begged their (Nigerian) government to repatriate them.

Women have been victims of the abusive system of ′′ Kafala ′′ (sponsorship) which allows conditions similar to slavery. Many have been denied food and health care, were denied their confiscated pay and passports, forced to work 24 hours a day and 7 days a week and suffered physical abuse and sexual.
