Opinion - When salt loses it taste? It becomes totally useless!

Security Council President Elbio Rosselli
The Security Council Press Statement on Guinea-Bissau issued on Thursday, May 12, 2017 by Council President Elbio Rosselli of Uruguay clearly show that the UN is not serving the population but a few that can lobby their way through.

The members of the Security Council and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) don’t seems to leave in the same planet; because the Security Council Press Statement on Guinea-Bissau totally contradict the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) efforts and the visit of its high-level ministerial mission to Guine Bissau on 23 and 24 April 2017 with the objective of assessing and evaluating the status of the implementation of the Conakry Agreement with the view to resolve the political impasse.

To minimize damage to the UN credibility in Guine Bissau, the Council President Mr. Elbio Rosselli of Uruguay should meet with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to seek a way to revise this damaging statement “The members of the Council invited the President Vaz to appoint a Prime Minister whose selection respects the provisions of the Conakry Agreement” and to prevent further statement without proper knowledge of the situation in Guine Bissau.

Because when the UN Security Council loses it tastes in Guine Bissau? It subsequent Press Statement on Guine Bissau will be totally useless!
