Hoje, pela primeira vez, assisti em direto e por mais de uma hora a sessão parlamentar na Guiné-Bissau e, fiquei com a sensação que o PAIGC é um problema para o país, ainda de maior dimensão do que aquilo que eu pensava!
Os PAIGCistas são educados a pensar na sua barrriga e nunca nos interesses do povo soberano! São capazes de um dia defender uma posição que vai contra a democracia, ou seja contra os interesses do povo, mesmo conscientes da sua ilegalidade, apenas e só por interesses corporativistas, para cerca de um ano depois defenderem a posição contrária, porque não se insere no quadro legal!
A legalidade e a democracia não interessa nem nunca interessou ao PAIGC. Sempre a utilizaram quando lhes convinha e a questionaram ou abandonaram quando chocava com os supremos interesses corporativistas do partido...
O PAIGC de Cabral, aquele assassinado no mesmo dia que ele, foi criado e moveu-se pelo espírito nacionalista. O PAIGC atual move-se pelo bem-estar dos seus militantes e alguns simpatizantes...
Não basta a mudança do líder para mudar o PAIGC, que se tornou num cancro social guineense, difícil de curar em completa homeostasia com os outros órgãos e sistema guineense... Não me canso de avisar que, para o bem da Guiné-Bissau e do seu povo, é preciso remeter o PAIGC à sua grandeza histórica e retirá-lo da cena democrática guineense...
O país precisa de avançar a procura de novos horizontes e não pode permitir que os interesses de uns poucos guineenses continue a bloquear o funcionamento dos órgãos do Estado como a ANP, com questões menores criados pelos próprios, como é o caso da constituição da mesa da ANP...
Conforme dizia hoje um deputado, o povo guineense é demasiado pacífico e brando para aguentar essas brincadeiras dos políticos, que já arrasta tempo demais...
Extingam o PAIGC, preservando a sua grandeza histórica, para o bem de um rico e lindo país.
Guiné-Bissau: A Ministra dos Negócios Estrangeiros, Cooperação Internacional e Comunidades, Suzi Barbosa, visitou hoje a sede da Minusma, no Mali, a convite do Representante Especial do Secretário Geral das NU, Sr. Mahamat Annadif.
A missão das NU no Mali, conta com um contingente de 14.000 militares e 2.000 polícias, ao serviço da missão de Paz e Estabilização.

Aula Prática de Operação de Tratores Agrícolas.
Na semana passada, o UE-ACTIVA, Eixo 3 promoveu uma aula teórico-prática para os alunos dos 10º, 11º e 12º ano do Centro de Ensino e Formação Agrícola (CEFA).
Mamadi Sissé, aluno do CEFA 11º ano e beneficiário de uma bolsa de estudos concedida pela Rede de Associações ACTIVA, fala da experiência: “Estou cá graças à minha colaboração com a associação “Nô Djuntu Mon Nô Tarbadja” em Fajonquito (era o jovem secretário da associação), na região de Bafatá. Sinto que estou numa boa escola! A agricultura é muito importante para o nosso país e como estudante desta área melhorei o nível de conhecimentos em relação a muitas técnicas e tecnologias. Hoje tivemos aula teórica e prática sobre o funcionamento das máquinas agrícolas, o trator especificamente. Foi nos ensinado que o tratorista deve ter o domínio sobre o trator, da sua manutenção e do funcionamento das grades. Estes conhecimentos são muito valiosos porque o trator é muito importante, ajuda muito na lavoura.”
Quem também se mostrou muito satisfeita com a formação foi Marina Lopes, outra aluna do CEFA: “Eu sempre tive esta curiosidade, a mecanização agrícola é um dos pilares importantes para o desenvolvimento da agricultura e todos nós sabemos como os tractores e outras máquinas são uteis para os agricultores e no caso do nosso país, houve muitas melhorias com a utilização das máquinas. Agradeço ao projeto por esta oportunidade, pois faz todo o sentido nós aprendermos a manusear as máquinas!”
A modernização e a mecanização agrícola fazem parte dos objectivos do UE-ACTIVA Eixo 3, em linha com as estratégias nacionais como veículo fundamental para o desenvolvimento do sector e consequentemente para a melhoria das condições de vida das populações nas zonas rurais!

A Reunião, co-presidida pela UA e o Mali, tem como objetivo criar um grupo de apoio ao processo de transição no Mali.
Participaram ainda na Reunião o Comissário para a Paz e Segurança da UA e o Representante Especial do SG das NU no Mali.
Suzi Barbosa transmitiu na Reunião a mensagem de apoio e solidariedade de Sua Excelência o Presidente da República, General Umaru Sissoco Embalo, ao processo de Estabilização do Mali e recordou que a Guiné-Bissau, esteve desde o primeiro momento ao lado do Mali e do povo maliano, tendo o nosso Presidente da República assistido à cerimónia de tomada de posse do atual Chefe de Estado de Transição, Sr. Bah Mbaw.
Policemen Who Should Be Fighting Bandits Carry Bags Of VIP Wives – Governor El-Rufai
Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has lamented that a sizeable number of officers of the Nigeria Police Force who should be fighting criminal elements in the country are involved in non-police duties like carrying the bags of the wives of Very Important Personalities.
El-Rufai said he is frustrated over the killings in his state, adding that the situation at hand has overwhelmed the police.
He urged the National Assembly to see to the amendment of the Nigerian Constitution to give states control of the police.
The governor argued that the state governments are presently responsible for the day-to-day operational cost of the police, insisting that the states have the capacity to run the police.
El-Rufai spoke on Monday night while featuring on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme monitored by Newsmen.
He said, “We’ve always made a very strong argument that one centralised police in a federation does not work. Nigeria is the only country in the world that is a federation that has only one police force.
“We have made the argument that states should be allowed to have their own police and that even local governments should be allowed to have their own community policing.
“The number of policemen we have in Nigeria is inadequate; it is less than half of what we need and a lot of them are engaged in non-police duties like carrying the handbags of the wives of very important people.
“We need to have a large footprint of policing in Nigeria and the only way to achieve that in a fast-track manner is to amend the constitution and put police on the concurrent list as recommended by the APC True Federalism Committee so that we have more policing.
“In any case today, more state governments are responsible for the running cost of the police. The Federal Government only pays the salaries of the policemen but the running cost, the logistics, their vehicles, their fuel are all the responsibilities of state governments.
“So, what are we afraid of? Let us just amend the constitution and allow state policing and in fact, go further and allow the local governments to have their own police. That way, we will have more security footprints.”
There are over 300,000 policemen in the country but a number of them are attached to VIPs and government officials.
The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, in an apparent move to boost the Force responsiveness to crime, had earlier in the month ordered the withdrawal of police personnel attached to 60 VIPs.
Leaked documents show China lied about Covid-19 case totals and mishandled pandemic

China underreported Covid-19 numbers by more than half as it downplayed the severity of the virus and their failure to quickly diagnose cases in the early stages of the pandemic, according to leaked documents.
A series of revelations in 117 pages of internal documents from the Hubei Provincial Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, obtained by CNN, shows how the Chinese Communist Party withheld vital information as the world grappled to contain the rapidly spreading virus.
On 10 February, China publicly reported 2,478 new confirmed cases while privately reporting 5,918 new cases - a 139 per cent difference.
On 17 February, China publicly reported new deaths in Hubei province, where the pandemic is believed to have originated in Wuhan, at 93 while privately reporting 196 - a difference of more than double.
On 7 March, China publicly reported the death total in Hubei at 2,986 while privately reporting 3,456.
The documents provide insight into the health care system's response to the pandemic between October 2019 and April 2020.
As recently as March near the peak of the pandemic, Chinese authorities took an average of 23.3 days - more than three weeks - from the onset of symptoms to positively diagnose confirmed cases of Covid-19.
An audit of testing kits found they were ineffective at detecting Covid-19, while lack of personal protective equipment forced health officials to make the virus inactive before testing.
"Retrospective testing on the early samples… found that the samples that showed negative SARS testing kits are mostly positive for the new coronavirus," the document said, according to CNN's reporting.
"[Private companies contracted by the CDC used extraction re-agents and simple liquids] that inhibit each other, and false negative results appear."
The documents also showed an undisclosed outbreak of influenza from December 2019 in Hubei province, more severe in Yichang and Xianning than in Wuhan.
The internal data showed a 2,059 per cent increase over 2018 that had not been previously reported.
China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Health Commission and the Hubei Health Commission did not respond to the documents' findings when contacted by CNN.
"It was clear they did make mistakes -- and not just mistakes that happen when you're dealing with a novel virus -- also bureaucratic and politically-motivated errors in how they handled it," Yanzhong Huang, a senior fellow for global health at the Council on Foreign Relations, told the outlet.
"These had global consequences. You can never guarantee 100% transparency. It's not just about any intentional cover-up, you are also constrained with by technology and other issues with a novel virus."
Zabarmari Killings: UN Withdraws Claim That 110 Farmers Died In Borno Boko Haram Attack

The United Nations on Monday recanted an earlier claim that 110 farmers were killed by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in Zabarmari community, Borno State.
Local media had published a report on Saturday quoting officials of the Borno State government saying at least 43 farmers lost their lives in an attack by insurgents on a rice field.
On Sunday, the Borno governor, Babagana Zulum, had during a mass burial of the deceased farmers, told journalists that 43 farmers were killed.
Later on Sunday evening, the UN issued a statement which quoted the head of the UN System in Nigeria, Edward Kallon, saying that at least 110 farmers were killed in the said attack.
The UN version of the death toll from Koshobe rice field went viral.
In the initial UN statement, signed by Eve Sabbagh, UN’s Head of Public Information at the OCHA in Nigeria, Mr Kallon said he was “outraged and horrified by the gruesome attack against civilians carried out by non-state armed groups in villages near Borno State capital Maiduguri.”
He added that “at least 110 civilians were ruthlessly killed and many others were wounded in this attack.”
Withdrawal
In a new release on Monday, the UN said its initial statement was inaccurate.
The UN’s head, public information, said the earlier numbers quoted by Mr Kallon were not correctly sourced.
In an email circulated to reporters, Ms Sabbagh asked journalists to disregard the earlier statement.
“Please note the number of 110 civilians killed on Saturday’s attack is an unconfirmed number and the correct version of the statement by the Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator is the one published yesterday on Reliefweb and used on OCHA Nigeria’s Twitter account:
In the fresh statement, the humanitarian agency replaced the portion where it quoted “110 deaths” with “unspecified figure”.
This time around, Mr Kallon was quoted saying “tens of civilians were ruthlessly killed and many others were wounded in this attack.”
The remaining paragraphs of the one-paged statement remained the same.
The UN did not, however, add how it got the earlier figure it released and which was quoted by at least one international media outlet.
Meanwhile, sources in Zabarmari had confirmed to newsmen that a search party was still combing the bushes for other missing farmers at the time newsmen visited the farm.
“The number of death remains the same,” he said. “We have not had any other corpses other than the 43 we buried yesterday; even though we know about 70 farmers were involved in the incident.”
Covid-19. Guiné-Bissau regista mais três casos e uma vítima mortal
A Guiné-Bissau registou a semana passada mais três casos de covid-19 e uma vítima mortal, segundo dados divulgados hoje pelo Alto Comissariado para a Covid-19.
Segundo os dados, referentes à semana entre 23 e 29 de novembro, foram registados mais três casos de covid-19 no país, elevando o total acumulado, desde o início da pandemia, para 2.441 infetados.
O Alto Comissariado para a Covid-19 confirmou também mais uma vítima mortal por covid-19, elevando para 44 o total acumulado de mortes devido à doença.
Os dados indicam também que há 64 casos ativos no país e que 2.327 pessoas já recuperaram da doença.
A pandemia de covid-19 provocou pelo menos 1.460.018 mortos resultantes de mais de 62,7 milhões de casos de infeção em todo o mundo, segundo um balanço feito pela agência francesa AFP.
Em África, há 51.708 mortos confirmados em mais de 2,1 milhões de infetados em 55 países, segundo as estatísticas mais recentes sobre a pandemia no continente.
Angola regista 346 óbitos e 15.103 casos, seguindo-se Moçambique (131 mortos e 15.701 casos), Cabo Verde (105 mortos e 10.747 casos), Guiné Equatorial (85 mortos e 5.146 casos), Guiné-Bissau (44 mortos e 2.441 casos) e São Tomé e Príncipe (17 mortos e 985 casos).
O Brasil é o país lusófono mais afetado pela pandemia e um dos mais atingidos no mundo, ao contabilizar o segundo maior número de mortos (mais de 6,3 milhões de casos e 172.833 óbitos), depois dos Estados Unidos.
A doença é transmitida por um novo coronavírus detetado no final de dezembro de 2019, em Wuhan, uma cidade do centro da China.
MENSAGEM DA SECRETÁRIA EXECUTIVA DE LUTA CONTRA SIDA NA GUINÉ-BISSAU (SNLS), PARA O DIA MUNDIAL CONTRA A AIDS 2020.
A Secretária Executiva de Luta Contra Sida na Guiné-Bissau (SNLS), Fatoumata Diaraye Dialló, apelou hoje aos guineenses para que façam da prevenção da SIDA uma "realidade" no país e não apenas uma "mera afirmação".
Em 2020, a atenção do mundo se concentrou na pandemia de COVID-19 na saúde e como as pandemias afetam vidas e meios de subsistência.
Com isso em mente, este ano o tema do Dia Mundial contra a AIDS é “Solidariedade mundial, responsabilidade compartilhada”.
