Campanha eleitoral 2ª volta: SISSOCO AMEAÇA INTERROMPER CAMPANHA DE SIMÕES PEREIRA SE O EXECUTIVO CONTINUAR A BLOQUEAR SEUS MATERIAIS DE PROPAGANDA NAS ALFÂNDEGAS

O candidato do Movimento para a Alternância Democrática – Grupo 15 (MADEM – 15) às eleições presidenciais, Úmaro Sissoco Embaló, ameaçou impedir o candidato dos libertadores (PAIGC), Domingos Simões Pereira, de prosseguir com a campanha eleitoral, se o governo de Aristides Gomes continuar a reter injustamente os seus materiais de campanha eleitoral na delegacia das alfândegas na cidade  de São Domingos, região de Cacheu no norte da Guiné-Bissau.

Embaló fez esta advertência durante um comício popular realizado esta noite, 21 de dezembro de 2019, na cidade de Buba, região de Quínara no sul do país, depois de percorrer algumas aldeias dos sectores de Empada e Fulacunda. 

Na sua intervenção, Úmaro Sissoco Embaló avisou o executivo para liberar os seus materiais de propaganda  eleitoral o mais tardar até amanhã, caso contrário diz que “não haverá segunda volta das eleições presidenciais agendada para o próximo dia 29 de dezembro”. E classificou ainda a atitude do governo de uma “sabotagem” à sua candidatura em detrimento do seu adversário.

“O comportamento do governo em relação a minha candidatura não é normal. Sou um candidato às eleições presidenciais e tenho os mesmos direitos que o meu adversário”, criticou o candidato do MADEM igualmente suportado pelo Partido da Renovação Social (PRS) bem como pelo líder de Assembleia do Povo Unido – Partido Democrático da Guiné-Bissau (APU-PDGB) e candidato derrotado na primeira volta, Nuno Gomes Nabiam.

Sobre a construção das vias rodoviárias, preocupações levantadas pelos populares daquela zona, Úmaro Embaló disse que se for eleito no dia 29 de dezembro, a partir do mês de fevereiro, usará a sua influência junto do executivo para alcatroar todas as estradas do sul do país e  permitir  o escoamento dos produtos para a capital Bissau.

GUINEA-BISSAU - ELECTION CAMPAIGN ROUND 2: SISSOCO THREATEN TO DISRUPT SIMÃO PEREIRA CAMPAIGN IF THE EXECUTIVE CONTINUES TO BLOCK HIS CAMPAIGN MATERIALS AT THE CUSTOM OFFICE IN THE NORTHEN REGION OF THE COUNTRY

The presidential candidate of MADEM G-15 in this month presidential elections, Úmaro Sissoco Embaló, threatened to prevent the candidate of (PAIGC), Domingos Simões Pereira, from continuing with the electoral campaign if the government of Aristides Gomes continues to unfairly retain his election campaign materials at the customs station in the city of São Domingos, northern region of Guinea-Bissau.

Embaló made this warning during a popular rally held this night, December 21, 2019, in the town of Buba, Quínara region in the south of the country, after touring some villages of Empada and Fulacunda sectors.

In his speech at the rally, Úmaro Sissoco Embaló warned the executive to release his electoral propaganda materials no later than tomorrow; otherwise he says "there will be no second round of presidential elections scheduled for December 29." He also called the government's attitude of "sabotaging" his effort against his opponent.

“Government behavior towards my candidacy is not normal. I am a candidate for the presidential election and I have the same rights as my opponent,” criticized the MADEM candidate equally supported by Partido da Renovação Social (PRS) as well as Assembleia do Povo Unido –Partido Democrático da Guiné-Bissau (APU)-PDGB), Movimento Botche Cande, Movimento Jomav and other opposition candidates defeated in the first round, of the presidential election.


Concerning the construction of the highways, raised by the people of the area, Úmaro Embaló said that if elected on December 29, the construction will start in February, 2020. He promised to use his influence with the executive to tar all the roads in the south of the country to facilitate the flow of its products to the capital Bissau.
