The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Guinea Bissau have not clarify Guineans of the whereabouts of $1,800.000 USD, deposited by Umaro El Mocktar Sissoko Embaló for November 18, 2018 election.
At a value of 59,125 MILLION EUROS, the EU REFUSED TO SIGN a Sustainable Fishing Partnership Agreement (SFPA) protocol with Umaro El Mocktar Sissoko Embaló’s government in Guiné-Bissau.
But at a value of 15.6 MILLION EUROS, on 15 November, 2018 (Just three days before Guiné-Bissau legislative election), the EU HASTILY SIGNED a new Sustainable Fishing Partnership Agreement (SFPA) protocol, with Aristides Gomes’s government, a year after the previous protocol expire.
This new fisheries protocol will allow the EU fleet to fish in Guinea Bissau waters for a duration of 5 years.
Around 50 EU vessels targeting demersal fisheries (including cephalopods and crustaceans) as well as tuna and small pelagic species will benefit from the agreement.
The catch limits are 1,500 t for cephalopods, 2,500 t for crustaceans, 11,000 t for demersals and 18,000 t for small pelagics.?.
The new protocol will enter into force when the necessary legislative procedures for its conclusion have been completed.
The EU believes this is very positive as it reinforces the transparency and sustainability of the fishing activity.
What a funny world !
