Umaro Sissoco Embalo is confident of his sunday election victory

The candidate supported by the movement for democratic change (Madem-G15) in the second round of the presidential election scheduled for December 29, Umaro Sissoco Embaló, says he is confident of his election victory.

This confidence was expressed today at the last political rally in bissau, and was supported by the support he received from the other candidates defeated in the first round of the presidential election, the former President of the Republic, José Mario Vaz, the leader of the democratic party of Guinea-Bissau of the united people's Assembly (Apu-Pdgb) Nuno Gomes Nabiam, former Prime Minister Carlos Gomes Junior, the social renewal party and other political groups of the country.


Sissoco has renewed its promise to free all citizens of Guinea-Conakry living in the country from payment and use of the residence card, in the territory of Guinea-Bissau.

" if i am elected, the first step I will take as head of state will be to use my influence with the government to replace the money that has been cut off from teacher s' wages he said.

Umaro Embalo has been accused of being the sponsor of attempts to divide the Guineans. An accusation, which he denied!

The candidate supported by the movement for democratic change (Madem-G15) presented himself as a humble man, able to unite all the opposition groups for the development of the country.


At First, the leader of the movement for democratic change, Braima Camara, Leader of the reconciliation and labour party, Malam Nanco, leader from the social renewal party, Alberto Nambeia, Carlos Gomes Junior and José Mario Vaz, asked the voters to follow The voting process to the end, that is to count the votes and display the summary minutes, in order to ensure the transparency of the vote.
