FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello has announced the successful treatment and discharge of seven (7) COVID 19 patients from the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital around 7pm on Tuesday 7th April.
In a statement personally signed by him, the Minister said the patients were discharged from the hospital, after their final tests results returned negative.
He said since the outbreak of the first Covid-19 case in the FCT, he has been closely monitoring the condition of the patients from the daily briefings he has been receiving from health officials managing the patients.
Bello therefore commended the dedicated and exceptional medical staff of the Teaching Hospital as well as those of the FCT Health and Human Services Secretariat for working closely to achieve this feat.
He assured that efforts are being sustained to ensure the recovery and discharge of the remaining 39 patients.
